The Brief

Rent a Keg was brought in to help elevate an Oktoberfest-themed office party held on a rooftop balcony in Central London. The client wanted something eye-catching, efficient, and memorable—something that would wow guests while staying true to the Oktoberfest spirit.

The Solution

Our white self-serve tap wall was the perfect fit. Sleek, compact, and efficient, it brought a modern twist to the traditional beer hall vibe. To match the theme, we imported four authentic German beers, giving guests a true taste of Oktoberfest—without leaving the city.

The Challenges

Accessing the rooftop wasn’t straightforward. The route involved:

• Navigating through a loading bay
• Taking two separate lifts
• Stepping up and over a balcony barrier

Fortunately, our tap wall is flat-packed for easy transport, which made the logistics manageable and stress-free. Once on-site, our team quickly assembled and connected the system—getting it party-ready in no time.

Performance & Experience

Each tap on the self-serve wall can pour up to 100 pints per hour, making it ideal for high-volume events. The self-service model meant no waiting at the bar—guests could simply pour their pint and enjoy the view.

We returned the following day to collect the equipment. The lightweight design of the bar made teardown quick and simple. We even protected it overnight with a tarpaulin to shield it from the elements.

The Outcome

The tap wall was a huge hit. Guests loved the novelty and convenience of pouring their own pints, and the selection of German beers added a fun, authentic touch. The client was thrilled with the result and praised the smooth setup and operation.
